Killer Printing with Genuine Fractals by Steve Cerocke
I have had outstanding results using Genuine Fractals with the E-10 images to print at 12"X16" scaled 200% to 280dpi. The "noise" disappears, sharpness increases and I don't need to do as much post processing. Here is what I have found:

I started with a RAW image and used the Adobe Photoshop .ORF plug-in to open it choosing auto image processing. I then set the Levels sliders and added a bit of saturation and adusted the lightness until I was happy. I then unsharp masked with 90% at .8 pixel and 0 levels. Finally I converted to 8bit color and exported as a Genuine Fractal .fif file with the Pro Graphics maximum resolution setting.

The results are shown below. I can tell you that these images printed on the Epson 2000p have almost no "noise" and the blue sky is smoothly rendered. Before GF I was able to print at 8X10 and up to 11X14 if I was really careful in adjusting (blocking out the sky before sharpening etc.)

You might have to copy these to your system and zoom to see the detail.

Image 1 = original shot RAW processed with .orf PS plug-in set at auto

Image 2 = 250% zoom (detail between rocks) from original

Image 3 = Post Processed image using proceedure detailed above.

Image 4 = Genuine Fractal processed image .fif file (not .stn)
I hope to have more on Genuine Fractals Print Pro in the future. Stay tuned! -Bron
